How does pyLJclient fit in?
pyLJclient is my attempt at making features available that aren't
present in most, if not all LJ clients. These include: offline
editing, a better user interfaces that allows an action to be performed on
multiple entries at a time, rather than the single entry limitation that
exists in current LJ clients.
Why am I writing pyLJclient?
There are several reasons:
- I had been reading about wxpython for a while, and I wanted to get
some experience using it in a real life software project
- There are several features missing from current Live Journal
clients, that I want.
- I am very fond of using the python programming language, and so I
started this client as a fun project that I work on in my free time.
Why another live journal client?
In addition to the reasons explained in "How does pyLJclient fit
in", and "Why am I writing pyLJclient?", I want to see if a
combination of Python and wxPython will make for a good application.
I believe Python and wxPython make excellent RAD tools, that provide the
level of flexibility not present on other programming platforms,
pyLJclient is an attempt to prove this idea.
